Mehcad Brooks Biography

Mehcad Brooks (Mehcad Jason McKinley Brooks)is an American actor and former fashion model who is known for his roles as Matthew Applewhite in the second season of ABC’s series Desperate Housewives.

He is also known for his roles as Jerome in The Game, his leading role as Terrance “TK” King in the USA series Necessary Roughness from 2011 until 2013, and as James Olsen on Supergirl.

In 2010, Brooks appeared in the ABC documentary-style dramedy television series My Generation, which premiered in Fall 2010. The show was canceled after only two episodes.

He guest-starred in the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode as Prince Miller; a basketball superstar who was molested as a child by his coach.

In 2019, Brooks announced to portray Jax Briggs for the Mortal Kombat reboot set for March 5, 2021.

In Supergirl, Mehcad plays James Olsen. James Olsen is the best friend of Clark Kent and Winn Schott. He is the boyfriend of Lena Luthor and the former art director and acting CEO of CatCo Worldwide Media, who was promoted by Cat Grant to be a stand-in for her while she is on her leave of absence from the company.

James Olsen had always longed for his own brand of justice hence he asked his best friend Winn Schott to help him in his quest and adopted the guise of Guardian, a vigilante operating in National City.

He is an intelligent, kind, caring, selfless, brave man with an urge to help people in any way possible. He really dislikes Sam Lane, partly because he has interfered in his relationship with Lucy Lane, which James and Lucy both correctly felt was not his place.

James Olsen is an accomplished acrobat and is sharp-witted, intuitive and a capable leader.
